SoftClan
Squire is a software based copy protection program for developers
of Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000 applications. It will work with any programming language
that can be linked to a DLL.
SoftClan Squire uses
an entirely different approach to the software licensing process which eliminates
any need for a hardware key.
The
method works like this:
· Once your software ( protected application
) is installed on the customer's computer, it is able to generate a Product
ID specific to this computer. The customer relays this Product ID to you.
· You use the Registration Wizard to instantly generate a unique Registration
ID or Serial Number that allows your program to run only on your customer's
computer. You can give the customer his/her Serial Number immediately by phone,
fax it or e-mail it later.

to guarantee it is exactly the same as it was before protected. If any alteration
is found, the loading process is canceled and a warning message is issued
to the user. This feature will prevent accidental or intentional software
alterations from occurring and in a certain way protects the application against
known or unknown virus attacks, specifically against those which in a way
or another affect the program's integrity.
